Blessing ‘Yemi’ Mobolade, inaugurated asthe 42nd and first Black, immigrant mayor ofColorado Springs, is among the youngest leaders in our history. Moving from Indiana in 2010, he planted a church and co-founded the cultural hub, Wild Goose Meeting House, stimulating post-recession downtown growth. Also, as director of outreach at First Presbyterian Church, he co-launched the community-serving nonprofit, COSILoveYou. He further contributed to the local business landscape, leading business retention at the Springs Chamber & EDC and establishing tools for entrepreneurs as a small business administrator. Born to Nigerian pastors, Mobolade pursued education in America, achieving business, management, and theological degrees. He resides locally with his wife and three children.
