Kara Camfield
Dayton Philharmonic Junior Strings Conductor

Kara Camfield is Assistant Principal Second Violin for the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, having performed with the Orchestra since 2006. She earned a Master of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Minot State University in North Dakota. Kara is also the Education Program Coordinator for the DPAA, teaches violin locally, and performs as the first violinist in the DPO educational string quartet. Kara was formerly on the faculty of University of Dayton for 11 years, teaching violin, chamber music, string pedagogy, theory, and co-coordinating the string area.
