Lee Veazey
EPYO I Conductor

Lee Veazey, a double bassist, has performed with the New Mexico Symphony, Symphony of the West Valley, Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra, the American Academy of Conducting at the Aspen Music Festival and School, Owensboro Symphony, and the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra. He was an award winner in the Southwestern Division of the American String Teachers Association Competition and was a fellowship recipient at the Brevard Music Festival and at the world-renowned Aspen Music Festival and School. Lee holds degrees from the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University, the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and the Indiana University McKinney School of Law. He is the Managing Partner of the Evansville office of Dentons Bingham Greenebaum, LLP, owns and operates a Real Estate Investment company, performs with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, conducts the Evansville Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and serves the Evansville community as a member of several boards.  For his business, legal, and artistic contributions, Lee was awarded the Indiana University Bicentennial Medal and has been nominated as Artistic Educator of the Year by the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana.  In 2025, the Indianapolis Business Journal named him one of the 250 most influential business leaders in the state of Indiana. Outside of his professional life, Lee is the father of one son. He relishes the time he is able to spend with his son, his wife, Amanda, and his family, both locally and afar.
