An Evansville Christmas is ev’ry thing Christmas should be
An Evansville Christmas is the spirit of Christmas to me
An Evansville Christmas fills my heart with song and good will
So, year after year, I love Christmas here in Evansville
On Main Street the Nutcracker statues are welcoming all to a
merry downtown
Horse carriages parked near the Christkindlmarkt are romantic
and cozy for riding around
At Victory Theatre the Orchestra’s playing the music of
Peppermint Pops
Hear joyful bells ringing and carolers singing while strolling along
the Riverfront walk
An Evansville Christmas is ev’ry thing Christmas should be
An Evansville Christmas is the spirit of Christmas to me
An Evansville Christmas fills my heart with song and good will
So, year after year, I love Christmas here in Evansville
At Garvin Park ev’ry one’s oohing and aahing, enjoying the
Fantasy of Lights
Huge holiday trees and Nativity scenes, make all of the city a
beautiful sight
Victorian Christmas, Messiah by Candlelight, shopping and
parties for fun
Inflatable reindeer pop up on the rooftops,
And Santa keeps watch out on route Forty-One. Ho, ho, ho!
An Evansville Christmas is ev’ry thing Christmas should be
An Evansville Christmas is the spirit of Christmas to me (that’s
Christmas!)
An Evansville Christmas fills my heart with song and good will
So, year after year, I love Christmas here in Evansville
We could go skating at Swonder Ice Rink, or go sled on Reitz Hill
if there’s snow
The Ford Center’s rocking with Thunderbolts hockey, at
Christmas there’s always a cool place to go!
We’ll breakfast with Santa at Mesker Park Zoo,
And then sing at the Candy Cane Express (Fa, la, la!)
And then, maybe after we’ll see the Nutcracker
All dressed up and formal in our Christmas best!
An Evansville Christmas is ev’ry thing Christmas should be
An Evansville Christmas is the spirit of Christmas to me
An Evansville Christmas fills my heart with song and good will
So, year after year, I love Christmas here in Evansville
So, year after year, I love Christmas here in Evansville
I love Christmas in Evansville!

O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold Him born the King of angels
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come let us adore him Christ the Lord
Away in a manger no crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head
The stars in the sky look’d down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay
The cattle are lowing, the poor Baby wakes
But little Lord Jesus no crying He makes
I love thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky
And stay by my cradle to watch lullaby
The first Noel the angel did say
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter’s night that was so deep
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel
Joy to the world the Lord is come, let earth receive her King!
Let ev’ry heart prepare Him room
And heav’n and nature sing, and heav’n and nature sing,
And heav’n, and heav’n and nature sing
He rules the world with truth and grace, and makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love, and wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders of His love
Hark, the herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King;
Peace on earth and mercy mild, God and sinners reconcil’d.”
Joyful all Ye Nations rise, join the triumph of the skies
With th’angelic hosts proclaim, “Christ is born in Bethlehem.”
Hark, the herald angels sing: “Glory to the newborn King!”
Hail the heav’n-born Prince of Peace! Hail the Son of righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings, ris’n with healing in His wings.
Mild he lays his glory by, born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of earth, born to give them second birth
Hark, the herald angels sing: “Glory to the newborn King!”
