Violin

Starting EPYO in 8th grade as a new violinist, I was very inexperienced, but was helped greatly and encouraged through my peers, conductors, coaches, and private teachers (Ana Williams, Jia-Rong Gan, and Jack Bogard). A concert I will always remember is when we performed “An Act of Resistance” by Joel Thompson with the EPO. It was such a fantastic piece to play with so many musicians. In the fall, I plan on attending Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, for violin performance. Much thanks to God for giving me this opportunity and ability and my parents and sister, Dr. Chen and Mr. Veazey, Kelsey Georgesen and the past education directors, and the coaches for quartet rehearsal, sectionals, and workshop days. Of course, a huge shout out to all of those I have been in orchestra with these past five years. It was a joy to be a part of this and make music with all of you!
