2024 marks Lee Veazey’s 10th year as conductor of the Evansville Philharmonic Youth Orchestra II. A native of Evansville and former member of the EPYO, Mr. Veazey, a double bassist, has performed with the New Mexico Symphony, Symphony of the West Valley, Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra, the American Academy of Conducting at the Aspen Music Festival and School, Owensboro Symphony, and the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra. He was an award winner in the Southwestern Division of the American String Teachers Association Competition and was a fellowship recipient at the world-renowned Aspen Music Festival and School. Mr. Veazey holds degrees from Arizona State University, the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and the Indiana University McKinney School of Law. Mr. Veazey is a capital partner with Dentons Bingham Greenebaum, LLP, owns and operates a Real Estate Investment company, performs with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, and serves the Evansville community as a member of several boards. Outside of his professional life, Lee is the father of one son. He relishes the time he is able to spend with his son, his wife, Amanda, and his family, both locally and afar.
