Caroline Goodwin
Soprano

Caroline Goodwin’s soprano voice has been described as "filament fine but powerful" and full of "rising star sparkle." As an emerging young artist, Caroline has shown herself to be a versatile musician and performer. Though she currently resides in Washington, DC, she hails from Terre Haute, Indiana and holds both a Master of Music in Voice (2023) and a Bachelor of Science in Voice with an Outside Field in History (2021) from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. During the summer of 2022, she attended the world-renowned American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS) in Graz, Austria.

Caroline's growing experience in concert work includes multiple engagements with the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra: in October 2024 she performed as a soloist on the Comfort & Joy chamber concert, and in December 2022 she headlined the Joyful Holidays concert. Over the past several years, she has programmed, performed, and appeared as a guest on recitals in Terre Haute, Bloomington, and Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as in Graz, Austria. These performances have encompassed the opera, operetta, oratorio, art song, jazz, and Broadway repertoires.

In addition to concert work, Caroline is a frequent performer on the proscenium stage. Most recently, she appeared as Mrs. Anderssen, one of the Liebeslieders, in A Little Night Music with the College Light Opera Company in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Earlier this year, she sang Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance with First Coast Opera in St. Augustine, Florida. Other favorite roles (with various companies) include Elise in The Yeomen of the Guard, Valencienne in The Merry Widow, The Plaintiff in Trial by Jury, Paquette in Candide, Gabriella in La Rondine, Maud Dunlop in The Music Man, Zelda Zanders in Singin’ in the Rain, and Lou Ann in Hairspray.
