A member of Whatcom Chorale since 2014, soprano Kim Markworth claimed first prize in the 2019 Bellingham's Got Talent - Musical Category. She has sung in choirs wherever she has lived, including the Dartmouth College Glee Club in New Hampshire, the Newton Community Chorus in Massachusetts, and the Choral Society of Durham in North Carolina.

Ms. Markworth began voice instruction with the Sherrie Kahn Vocal Studio in 2017 and participates in solo and small ensemble singing. She has sung with choruses for Pacific Northwest Opera’s performances of Turandot,La Boheme, and Mefistofele, and was a Valkyrie in PNO’s 2019 performance of Wagner’s The Ring of the Nibelung.
