Pianist and harpsichordist Andrew Rosenblum enjoys a multifaceted career as a collaborator and soloist.

As a harpsichordist, And won second prize in both the 2018 Leipzig International Bach Competition and the 2017 Prague Spring International Music Competition.  He also won the prize for best performance of Harpsycho by Petr Wajsar, which was commissioned for the Prague competition. Last season, he made his conducting debut at the National Gallery of Art with the New York Opera Society on Gisle Kverdokk’s opera Letters from Ruth, did rehearsal piano work with the Chicago Symphony Chorus and Music of the Baroque, performances of Monteverdi opera selections with Third Coast Baroque at the Italian Consulate in Chicago, and performances at the Logan Center for the Arts and PianoForte Chicago as part of the 2017 Ustvolskaya Festival, as well as recordings of the music by composer Lori Laitman for multiple upcoming CD releases.

He is currently on the faculty of Northwestern University and the DePaul University School of Music. Mr. Rosenblum earned his Master’s degree in Collaborative Piano and Harpsichord in 2014 from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Since then, he has worked as a staff pianist at the Cleveland Institute of Music and a rehearsal pianist for the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus. Mr. Rosenblum has helped soloists prepare for concerto performances with the Minnesota Orchestra and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and has performed with vocalists at the Kennedy Center and Alice Tully Hall. He has premiered songs by Lori Laitman at Songfest® and works by Juan Pablo Contreras. Mr. Rosenblum has performed frequently as a harpsichord, organ, and fortepiano continuo player with several early music ensembles.
