Rachel Taylor is a cellist from Herndon, VA. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the Peabody Conservatory, where she studied under Amit Peled and received the Steven Kates Memorial Merit Scholarship. She has also studied under Maria de Macedo, Marc Coppey, Hans Jorgen Jensen, Guy Fishman, Hannah Roberts, Peter Stumpf, Zvi Plesser, Raman Ramakrishnan, Steve Doane, Seth Parker Woods, Mihail Jojatu, Hai Ye-Ne, and Astrid Schween. She has performed with The Capitol Youth Symphony Orchestra (Asst. Principal) and the Principal Cellist with the South Lakes Chamber Orchestra and South Lakes Pit Orchestra. In addition to her cello study and performance, Rachel is also a piano technician, and served as the co-director of the Heifetz Institute's 2023 Hootenanny Concerts.
