Collaborative pianist Jarod Yap’s 2024–25 season includes performances in SongStudio (Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall) and Music for Food and concerts with soprano Gemma Nha, violinist Sam Parrini, and musicians from the Buffalo Philharmonic and Houston Symphony Orchestra.
Notable venues in which he has performed include New York’s Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Other recent collaborations include violinists David Chan and Stella Chen, cellists Amy Barston and Horacio Contreras, cut paper artist Bovey Lee, and members of the Argus and Prometheus quartets. He is the founder of Vision Possible Charity Concerts, a staff pianist at The Juilliard School, and, during the summer, a faculty member at Lyra Music Festival and BRAVO Chamber Music Workshop.
Studies were at The Juilliard School, Rice University, Music Academy of the West, Aspen Music Festival, Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto) and UT-Health (Master of Public Health), with Lydia Brown, Jeanne Kierman Fischer, Tom Jaber, Mary Handley, Jonathan Feldman and Cameron Stowe.
Notable masterclasses include playing for JoAnn Falletta, Augustin Hadelich, Susan Graham, Roger Vignoles, Julius Drake and Anthony Roth Costanzo.
