Shaobai Yuan is a collaborative pianist pursuing a graduate diploma in Collaborative Piano at Juilliard under the guidance of Lydia Brown. His training includes the Franz Schubert Institute, Songfest and Classic Lyric Arts. He worked as a staff pianist in Schmidt Vocal Institute and the Art Song Preservation Society of New York. He has participated in masterclasses with distinguished artists such as Stephanie Blythe, Warren Jones, Mark Markham, Roger Vignoles, Martin Katz, Robert Holl, Helmut Deutsch, Birgid Steinberger, Wolfram Rieger, Julius Drake, Elly Ameling and Erin Morley. He graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music and from Manhattan School of Music under the guidance of Kenneth Merrill, where he served as a vocal coach and piano accompanist.
