Cincinnati Ballet’s Second Company — CB2 — consists of up-and-coming dancers who have been invited to train with Cincinnati Ballet for up to two years. CB2 dancers train and perform alongside Main Company artists and perform principal and soloist roles in Cincinnati Ballet’s annual Family Series. These young, talented dancers also perform in community performances and events throughout the region. 

In recent years, CB2 alumni have been regularly invited to join Cincinnati Ballet’s Main Company. Many CB2 dancers have also transitioned to careers with professional companies around the world, including Alberta Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Alvin Ailey, Bayerisches Staatsballet, Dance Theater of Harlem, Kansas City Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Royal New Zealand Ballet, Smuin Ballet and West Australian Ballet.
