Erika Noot is an acclaimed Canadian performer known for her powerhouse vocals, remarkable versatility and a compelling stage presence that brings every song to life. Recent highlights include taking the stage as the featured soloist with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Grand Rapids Symphony, and Calgary Philharmonic for their productions of Hans Zimmer material, experiences that showcased her ability to interpret complex scores and connect with an audience in a full orchestral setting.
Her professional journey began shortly after she graduated with her Theatre Arts diploma, when she launched her career on the international stage as a lead vocalist for Royal Caribbean Productions. From there, she became a fixture in some of Western Canada's most prestigious concert halls. Her ability to thrive in an orchestral setting is demonstrated by her recurring roles as a featured vocalist in the Singing Christmas Tree at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, where she showcased a command of multiple genres, and Crescendo at the Winspear Centre, where she performed powerful rock anthems. Her dynamic stage presence extends to a diverse range of events, from performing in the successful show DIVAS of Rock at the Winspear Centre to taking the stage at Rogers Place for the Edmonton Oilers' historic NHL Centennial "Greatest Team" celebration. For nearly a decade, she was a lead vocalist for the premier event band Uptown Entertainment, performing a vast repertoire at over 200 high-profile galas and corporate functions. Her versatility extends to the theatrical stage, where she has taken on iconic and vocally demanding lead roles such as Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde, Roxy in Chicago, and Carla in Nine.
In addition to her extensive performance career, Erika is a distinguished and influential educator. In 2024, she joined the faculty at MacEwan University as a Vocal Instructor in the Department of Music. She is also the co-founder of the successful vocal studio, One Voice, where she has mentored countless professional and aspiring artists. Her teaching approach is informed by advanced certifications from internationally recognized bodies, including Vocology in Practice (ViP) and Vocal Health Education (UK). Parallel to her performance and teaching career, she embraced a significant community leadership role as the full-time Worship Director for a local church from 2021 to the end of 2025. In this capacity, she drew on her deep musical expertise to shape the weekly services, mentoring a dedicated team of vocalists and musicians.
