Barbara Caridad Meulener
Dancer

Barbara Caridad Meulener (she/they) was born under and nurtured by the Miami sun. She attended Florida State University, obtaining her Bachelor’s in Social Work while performing on and off campus, like in her role as Lady in Green in Giltrecia Head’s rendition of For Colored Girls. Upon their return to Miami, Barbara joined the Pioneer Winter Collective and performed in the premiere of Birds of Paradise at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Continuing to build personal and collective movement practices, she has since presented her work The Body is the First Altar in PWC’s Grass Stains and is currently creating a film exploring and basking in queer, brown joy.
