Mark David Kaplan is grateful to join this glorious group of talented artists.
He is the recipient of three Joseph Jefferson Awards – for Les Misérables, Ragtime and Forbidden Broadway – the latter with which he has toured internationally and performed off-Broadway. Recent symphony appearances include She Loves Me and Cabaret with the Gulf Coast Symphony. As well he was the Tevye standby for Lyric Opera of Chicago’s acclaimed engagement of Fiddler on the Roof. Notable theatre credits include Cabaret (Porchlight Chicago), Clue (Mercury Theatre), Mr. Dicken’s Hat (Northlight), Kinky Boots (Paramount), Into the Woods and The Mystery of Love and Sex (Writer’s Theatre), Wonderful Town (Goodman), Beauty and the Beast (Drury Lane), Little Shop of Horrors (American Blues), Hairspray (Syracuse Stage), Amadeus (Indiana Rep), We Three Lizas (About Face), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Chicago Company/James Lapine, dir.), and various premieres with Chicago Shakespeare, Marriott and Skylight Theatres. Mark spent over 5 years in the National Tour of The Lion King. TV credits include Utopia (Amazon Video), Chicago Fire (NBC), Being Blago (WLS/Disney TV) and spots for T-Mobile, Arkansas Lottery, McDonalds, and the Chicago Cubs. A proud member of Actors’ Equity, SAG/AFTRA and AGMA, Mark sits on the board of Season of Concern, Chicago’s primary fund raising organization which focuses it’s efforts on the physical and mental wellness of those who share their gifts in the performing arts.
