Renee Cherrie Henry is the founder and artistic director of Body Movement Theatre, as well as a dancer, choreographer, vocalist, actor and percussion enthusiast. This native Cincinnatian was a naturally gifted child, but she began her professional training at Cincinnati’s School for the Creative and Performing Arts. After graduating, she continued her professional career of over 30 years with several professional dance and theatre companies, including Cincinnati Black Theatre Company, Khamisi Productions, Bi-Okoto Cultural Institute and the African American Dance Ensemble under the direction of Chuck Davis. She is a mother of three sons and is currently the Movement Specialist for Elevated Excellence Academy.
