In the 2023–24 season, soprano Liv Redpath joins The Cleveland Orchestra for Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 and a world premiere by Betsy Jolas under the baton of Daniel Harding, the Berliner Philharmoniker as Die Seele in Schoenberg's Die Jakobsleiter with chief conductor Kirill Petrenko, Orchestra of St. Luke's for Bach's Weihnachtsoratorium at Carnegie Hall led by Bernard Labadie, Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra for Strauss' Brentano Lieder with Federico Cortese, Sag Harbor Song Festival for concerts in New York, and a Wigmore Hall debut in London with pianist Harry Rylance.
Next season, Redpath will join the San Francisco Symphony, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Seattle Symphony, Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Les Violons du Roy, Kansas City Symphony and Radio Filharmonisch Orkest for orchestral projects.
Opera appearances this season include debuts with the Royal Opera House (Covent Garden) in the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor conducted by Giacomo Sagripanti, the Metropolitan Opera as Oscar in Un ballo in maschera led by Carlo Rizzi, Staatsoper Hamburg for Lucia di Lammermoor under the baton of Lorenzo Passerini, The English Concert as Drusilla in Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea at the Auditorio Nacional De Musica (Madrid) and Palau de la Música (Barcelona) led by Harry Bicket, and Atlanta Opera, where she reprises Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream under the direction of Louis Lohraseb. Redpath returns to the Metropolitan Opera to sing Pamina in The Magic Flute as well as Santa Fe Opera for Zerlina in Don Giovanni, where she is reunited with Harry Bicket, and Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier conducted by Karina Canellakis.
Recent engagements have included projects with the Bayerische Staatsoper, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Glyndebourne Festival, Komische Oper Berlin, LA Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Bregenzer Festspiele, Festival d'Aix-en-Provence and La Monnaie/De Munt. Redpath has collaborated with conductors Gustavo Dudamel, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Fabio Luisi, Vasily Petrenko, Marie Jacquot, Vladimir Jurowski, James Gaffigan, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Alain Altinoglu, Alan Gilbert, William Christie, Emmanuel Villaume, Thomas Hengelbrock and Christophe Rousset.
Liv Redpath is a graduate of Harvard University and The Juilliard School, as well as an alumna of the Domingo-Colburn-Stein Program at LA Opera.
