Rebecca Aponte is a senior at the Webb School of Knoxville. She has been playing violin since the age of three and currently studies under the instruction of Dr. Miroslav Hristov. Rebecca has been a first violinist in the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra and the KSYOA Chamber Music Program for the last four years. She also serves as a volunteer teacher at the Joy of Music School, the concertmaster of the Webb School Orchestra, and the co-founder of Webb’s chamber ensemble. Throughout the last few years, Rebecca has performed in the TMEA All-East and All-State Orchestras, the Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival, the Daponte String Quartet High School Workshop, and the New World Symphony’s VIA Academy. She will be taking a gap year to study at the Word of Life Bible Institute in New York before attending Hillsdale College in 2026 to study English literature. Rebecca would like to express her gratitude for her music teachers and her family, who have supported her through her journey as a violinist.
