Edward Escobar, a homeschooled student, has been a member of the Knoxville Youth Symphony Orchestra for a decade. Additionally, he has dedicated ten years to playing the cello, having received private lessons from Theodore Kartal. Edward has cherished every opportunity to perform with the KSO and plans to attend Crown College in the fall. His academic goals include a major in music and ministry, coupled with a two-year trade program in HVAC.  Edward expresses his sincere gratitude to his parents, KSYO conductor Cynthia Wright, Katie Liaw, Kathy Hart, and James Fellenbaum, who have all played a pivotal role in his musical growth. Their weekly Monday rehearsals have created unforgettable memories for him.
