Isaiah Saylor is a Senior at Maryville High School. He has been playing the Double Bass for 9 years under the private study of Daniel Shifflett. He has been a part of the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra for 4 years; this is his 2nd year with the Youth Orchestra. Isaiah has many accomplishments in his music career such as being his high schools first ever electric bass player to be in Marching Band, competing and placing highly in the All East and All State clinics, attending Governors School for the Arts, and getting hired by Maryville College and many other high schools in the Knoxville area to play in their ensembles/musicals. Outside of music, he enjoys his day job at Cookout and continuing to learn American Sign Language. Isaiah’s plan after high school is to attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, majoring in Double Bass performance and minoring in ASL.
