Ian Finotti is a senior at nowhere. He started homeschooling in 7th grade but started playing the violin in 5th. Over the last four years, he has been a member of the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra, but his true passion lies outside of the arts. As a primary part of his schooling, he has been attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville as a dual enrollment student, primarily taking Computer Science, Math, and Foreign Language courses. He plans to continue studying Computer Science in college, while continuing to play the violin on the side. He would like to thank his conductors, Kathy Hart and Cynthia Wright, for making KSYO the experience that it was for him, and for managing to wrangle a room full of kids into playing a cohesive piece of advanced music. Truly an accomplishment. He'd also like to thank his parents, who guided his educational journey and opened possibilities for him wherever they could. They are the reason he was able to be a part of the KSYO in the first place, and they enabled him to pursue all his interests to a level he wouldn't normally be able to, with constant love and support.
