Chayah Shepherd is a senior after homeschooling since birth. She has been playing violin for four years, and this is her third year with the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra. On the piano, Chayah is currently working through Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Bach with her teacher of eight years, Susan Triplett. Chayah has many other hobbies such as knitting, sewing, English Country dancing, baking, and cooking. Chayah also values being involved in civics by canvassing for worthy candidates who will fight for Biblical and Constitutional values and by lobbying for bills. As a lover of teaching, she plans to earn a Reading Specialist Certification and a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Certification. Chayah is looking forward to teaching education and music, and especially to being a wife and a mother.
