Lucas Hinds is a senior at Roane County High School and has played trombone in the KSYWE for one year. He has studied trombone for seven years and for five years under Hugh Lindsay. Lucas also participates in their school band, the Knoxville Jazz Youth Orchestra, and in the TMEA All-East and All-State ensembles. In his free time, Lucas enjoys playing card and video games, studying math, and programming. This fall, he will attend MIT to pursue a degree in mathematics.
