Jackson Sharp is the principal cellist and is in his eleventh year as a member of the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra. He has studied cello for fourteen years and is currently under the instruction of Dr. Wesley Baldwin. After graduating from Hardin Valley Academy, Jackson plans to attend The University of Tennessee Knoxville double majoring in Finance and Music. Jackson has been the principal cellist of his school orchestra for all four years of high school. He was accepted into the ETSBOA All-East clinic every year of his high school career, where he received the honor of being principal cellist twice. Jackson also qualified for TMEA All-State all four years of high school and received principal in 2019. The clinic was canceled in 2020 and 2021, but he plans to attend the clinic in 2022. Jackson would like to extend his thanks to Maestro Fellenbaum, Dr. Wesley Baldwin, and every other musician who has had an impression on his journey. He would also like to thank his parents and extended family for all the continued love and support they have shown throughout his life.
