Josh Lin

Josh Lin is a senior at Farragut High School. He has played the clarinet for seven years now. This is his first year in the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra. Fun fact, he tried learning the violin for a couple months in his eighth grade year and could not play it to save his life, so he never touched that instrument again. He cannot even begin to comprehend how his KSYO string peers play their respective instruments so well. As a member of the Farragut High School marching band program, Josh has auditioned for the ETSBOA All-East Blue Band every year of his high school career and has qualified for TMEA All-State three times. He would like to formally and graciously thank his band directors Kenneth L. Carrico III and Elizabeth Gott for their guidance in the past four years, Maestro Fellenbaum this year, and Eric Greenep, his mean but helpful and knowledgeable private tutor. Outside of music, he enjoys eating, sleeping, playing basketball, playing video games, and learning math. Josh is likely attending the University of Southern California to study Applied and Computational Mathematics.
