Nicholas Ashmore is performing in his first year with Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra, and has played clarinet for seven years. Nicholas attends Maryville High School and takes lessons from RoAnn Romines. In addition to KSYO, Nicholas plays in his school’s Chamber Orchestra and has qualified for TMEA All-State twice and ETSBOA All-East three times. Last summer, Nicolas attended the Governor's School for the Arts. This year, Nicolas applied to Virginia Tech, Tennessee Tech, and the University of Tennessee Knoxville, but will most likely plan on attending UTK to pursue a degree in Nuclear or Aerospace Engineering. Outside of music, Nicolas plays disc golf and is a Maryville Scholar (Top 20 of the class).
