Sophie Hoang is a senior at Hardin Valley Academy. This is her seventh year playing violin, and her fifth season with the Knoxville Youth Symphony Orchestra. She currently studies under Karen Kartal and performs with her school orchestra as well as ETSBOA All-East and TMEA All-State ensembles. Outside of music, Sophie also participates in robotics, National Honor Society, and mentoring at GearUp4STEM camp. She is planning to major in economics at either the University of Southern California, UC-Berkeley, or New York University.
