Jack Myers is a clarinetist who is graduating in the top 5 of his class at Knoxville Central High School. This is Jack's first year playing with the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra. Jack is a multi-year ETSBOA All State and All East clarinetist who has played in many honors bands and orchestras throughout high school. Jack's clarinet teacher since he started taking clarinet lessons in 7th grade has been Roann Romines, to whom he is very grateful. Jack has earned scholarship offers of over $100,000.00 from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Jack is attending UTK this fall and will study pre-med biology in the UTK 1794 Honors and Scholars Program, with a music minor. Jack also looks forward to being a member of UT's Pride of the Southland Marching Band.
