Grant Williams is a homeschooled senior in the Classical Conversations Challenge program. He has played the cello for nine years, and this is his first year playing in the Knoxville Symphony Youth Sinfonia Orchestra. Before moving to Knoxville from Blacksburg, VA in 2020, he participated in the Virginia Tech String Project for five years and received private instruction from Alex Fowler. As his crowning achievement on the cello, he recently performed in Lighthouse Youth Theatre’s musical production of Beauty and the Beast. He will attend the University of Tennessee, Knoxville this fall, has been accepted into the Chancellor’s Honors Program, and intends to major in psychology.
