JOHN CARTER
Lola/Simon/Choreography

John is thrilled to return to the Landmark Community Theatre stage where he last choreographed SISTER ACT. Born and raised in Waterbury, now a resident of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, John has been working at The Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford for over thirty years. He was a part-time dance instructor at the former Connecticut Academy of Performing Arts in Waterbury and Apogee Dance Academy in Southington, and recently choreographed LITTLE WOMEN at Cheshire High School this spring. Some of John’s past students have gone on to professional careers which include Broadway productions of HAIRSPRAY, MEMPHIS, SISTER ACT, HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS and FROZEN. John also adds to his list of former students James Van Der Beek of Dawson’s Creek, Varsity Blues, Pose and Vampirina. At LCT, John has been seen on stage in RAGTIME and RENT, choreographed JOSEPH, SWEET CHARITY and TOMMY, and directed/choreographed A CHORUS LINE. John would like to thank the talented cast and production staff of KINKY BOOTS for being flexible with his schedule and giving him a warm welcome back. Thank you Shane Christopher for the dance collaboration. Stephanie Varanelli Miles, this one’s for you! To my family and friends, thanks for coming out and keeping the theater alive. Lastly, a million thanks to his favorite boys, my husband Brian and our dog Henri, for your unconditional love and support.
