I work two dimensionally in drawing and printmaking. My work is based on narrative and involves the figure. Usually, the main figures are in a gestural pose that either symbolize or geometrically relate to the composition. I find most of my compositional inspiration comes from drawing imaginary light sources and the impact they have on mood and composition. German Expressionism and film noir has influenced my interest in this aspect of creating a visual reality. Dramatic perspective is also dominant in my compositions. I work in lithography, etching and relief.
