SOPHIE THOMPSON (Soprano) is excited to be joining NYGASP for a third season! In the G & S canon, Sophie has sung Mabel (Pirates) and Aline (Sorcerer) at The College Light Opera Company. Stage credits include Phoebe (A Gentleman’s Guide…), Maggie (Lady in the Dark), Trio (Trouble in Tahiti), Eliza (Dark Sisters), and Pamina (Die Zauberflöte). In NYC, she has worked with Bronx Opera, The Victor Herbert Renaissance Project, and The Light Opera of NJ. Sophie holds a MM from The Eastman School of Music and a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University.
