Carolina Hernandez is an artist who explores the world through dance and has passion for cultural expressions, the history, the sociocultural context, and the territory that made them possible. With her work, she wants to share this passion with her audience and students, coming from a place of appreciation and profound respect for the people and communities who created them.

She is originally from Colombia, has 19 years of experience as a dancer apart of being trained during her whole childhood and teen-age years in theater and classical, traditional, and popular music. During those 19 years she has trained constantly with people of origin to learn directly from the source.

She is the founder of GET Dance Company which means Global Expressions Through Dance, company based in the DMV area, focused on dances from India, Egypt, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia, and El Caribe.
