Doobo Lee
Violin | Winner, 2025 Philharmonia Concerto Competition

Doobo Lee is an eighth grader at Pilgrim Park Middle School. He began studying the violin at the age of 6 in Germany, and later, continued his study in South Korea. Currently, he studies violin with Tatiana Migliaccio, and studies music theory through MYSO.

Doobo has served as co-concertmaster of MYSO’s String Orchestra and Sinfonia, and currently is the concertmaster of Philharmonia. He was the winner of String Orchestra’s Concerto Competition (2023), was named runner-up of Sinfonia’s Concerto Competition (2024), and is very honored to be the winner of the Philharmonia Concerto Competition this year.

In addition, in 2024, Doobo served as concertmaster of the WSMA Middle Level State Honors Music Project Orchestra. He has also been the recipient of the first place scholarship for three consecutive years at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music (WCM).

Doobo enjoys volunteering in the community as a musician and has performed at churches and for various events including WCM fundraising events.

Outside of music, he enjoys soccer, Ping-Pong, Jiu-jitsu, and tennis.

Doobo is deeply thankful for his caring and supportive violin teacher Tatiana Migliaccio and would like to thank Mr. Duffy for rehearsing and directing the Praeludium and Allegro.
