Summer Chen, 11, is a sixth grader at Wisconsin Hills Middle School in Brookfield. Summer began her violin studies at age 3 with her private lesson teachers, Danielle White, Sarah Emran, Jackie Acosta, and her masterclass teacher, Elizabeth Zempel.

At Falls Baptist Music School, she has gained experience from group lessons, concerts, quartets, orchestras, and chamber camps. Additionally, she has played piano for 4 years.

Summer also participates in her middle school orchestra led by Alexis Ganos and Krista Witak.

This is Summer’s second year in MYSO. She loves playing in her orchestra and quartet. She wishes to thank MYSO and her Ms. Roznowski for her first opportunity to solo with an orchestra, which she feels is a significant milestone on her musical path.
