Noor Salameh
Cello

Cellist Noor Salameh is a 17-year-old senior at the Kettle Moraine High School for Arts and Performance. This is her tenth and final year as a member of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra and her fourth year as a co-principal of the Senior Symphony. In addition, throughout her time at MYSO, she has been a mentor for MYSO's Progressions program. In the summer of 2021, Noor attended Interlochen Arts Camp and was principal cellist of the World Youth Symphony Orchestra. This past summer she attended the Madeline Island Chamber Music Institute. Noor is the recipient of an exemplary soloist award at the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) state-level competition, has been named a semi-finalist of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Stars of Tomorrow Competition, and was a previous runner-up of the Senior Symphony Concerto Competition. Recently, she has been auditioning at various conservatories and universities nationwide including Vanderbilt University, The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, The Cleveland Institute of Music, Bard College and Conservatory, New York University, and The Manhattan School of Music. She is very excited to continue her classical music education after high school and would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for all of their endless support.
