Harpist Maydine Bellot is a senior at Wauwatosa East High School, and this is her third year in MYSO. This year, she is the principal harp of the Senior Symphony and Chamber Orchestra. Maydine was a winner of the 2023 Civic Music High School Competition. She earned an honorable mention in the Midwest Harp Festival solo competition Advanced I division in 2022, and placed first in the Intermediate I Division in 2020. In addition, she was selected for and performed with the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) State Honors Orchestra and Wind Ensemble in 2022.

At Wauwatosa East, she plays cello in the  Chamber Orchestra, French Horn in the Wind Ensemble, and participates in the Red Raider Marching Band. She is a part of the National Honors Society, the Tri M Music Honors Society, as well as track, cross country, and rock climbing.

Maydine would like to thank her harp teacher Johanna Wienholts for instilling in her a love for music and her orchestra director Michael Hayden for the unconditional support. She intends to continue pursuing music and study engineering at university.
