Quinn Middleman
mezzo-soprano (Chicago, IL)

Praised for her “fine, warm mezzo-soprano voice,” Quinn Middleman is known for her dynamic artistry and stage presence. In 2021-2022, she appears as Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor with Madison Opera, Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors with Opéra Louisiane, the alto soloist in Beethoven's 9th Symphony with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Testo in La Susanna with Haymarket Opera, and Filippyevna in Eugene Onegin with Music Academy of the West. She will also cover Ilona in She Loves Me and Public Opinion in Orpheus in the Underworld at Madison Opera.

In 2021, Quinn covered the Countess in Queen of Spades at Des Moines Metro Opera, performed as Ježibaba in The Littlest Mermaid with OPERA Iowa, and was an artist-in-residence with LYNX Project in Chicago.  In 2019-2020, Quinn was a Resident Artist at Utah Opera. There she appeared as Flora in La Traviata, Madeleine in Silent Night, and covered Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia, as well as soloing with the Utah Symphony in Handel’s Messiah

Other recent performances include Susanna in The Ghosts of Versailles with Chautauqua Opera, Mother in The Scarlet Ibis with Chicago Opera Theater, Rachel in The Great God Pan with Chicago Fringe Opera, and Songe in Ariane et Bachus with Haymarket Opera. She has also performed with Central City Opera, St. Petersburg Opera, Tanglewood Music Center, Aspen Opera Center, and SongFest. She holds a master’s degree from Northwestern University, and received bachelor’s degrees in both Oboe Performance and Vocal Arts from the University of Southern California.
