Tessa Brown

Tessa Brown is a young artist from Trussville, Alabama. Tessa recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Samford University. She earned the Eva Clapp White voice scholarship, the Northrup Scholar Award, and the Hazel Boren Scholarship while at Samford. Her roles in Samford’s productions included Suzanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Sor Juana in With Blood with Ink, Carolina in Il Sacramento Matrimonio, and Pamina in The Magic Flute under the directorship of Dr. Kristin Kenning and Keith A. Wolfe-Hughes. Tessa has also played roles in Opera Birmingham’s productions of Massanet’s Cinderella as a chorus member and The Pirates of Penzance as Edith. Tessa will travel to Italy to join Opera Viva’s young artist summer program in June 2022.
