Louisa Copenhaver

Louisa Copenhaver is a graduate student from West Virginia pursuing a Master of Music in vocal performance at Samford University. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in music and animal studies from Muskingum University and participated in many theatre and musical theatre performances during her four years. While at Samford University, she participated in Opera Shots concerts put on by Opera Birmingham, performed in Opera Workshop scenes performances, where she played the First Lady from Die Zauberflote, Fiordiligi from Cosi fan tutte, Mrs. Fiorentino from Street Scene, Yvette from La Rondine, and performed the main stage role of The Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflote. Over the summer, she played a Grisette in the Birmingham Music Club’s production of The Merry Widow, and during this past fall, she participated in workshopping an opera written by composer and Evan Mack and librettist Joshua McGuire title Dragon’s Breath for Samford University.
