Ohio native, Betsy Pate has lived in Birmingham for nearly 20 years. She has sung with the Opera Birmingham Chorus since 2009, appearing as a nun in at least three productions. Donning the wimple and veil is a habit (sorry) as she has appeared in local performances of Nunsense and Nunsense II as Sr. Robert Anne. Favorite OB productions include La Traviata, Carmen, and The Elixir of Love. In her spare time, she bakes cakes and other carb-loaded goodies.
