Christian Knopp was born and raised in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He has attended Cincinnati Ballet, Bossov Ballet, and West Virginia Governor’s School for the Arts summer intensives on full scholarship. Christian is a 2019 graduate with honors of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music receiving his BFA in Ballet Performance. During his career, he has performed principal and soloist roles in Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Flower Festival Pas de Deux, and José Limón’s A Choreographic Offering. Christian has previously danced as a First Soloist with Ballet Pensacola and as a Soloist with the Charleston Ballet, the Official West Virginia State Ballet, working with Kim Pauley and Rob Royce. Besides performing for the people of the Quad Cities, Christian’s biggest joy is passing on his knowledge and love of ballet to the students of Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance. He is excited for his second season with the company!
