Kristen began working with CROpera in 2015 with their production of Don Giovanni and has designed video and projection content for the company ever since. She received her Master of Lighting Design from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Recent local works include Strokes of Genius, The Grant Wood Operas, Madama Butterfly, and Turandot, for Cedar Rapids Opera; The Bridges of Madison County, Sunday in the Park with George, Evita, Funny Girl, and Parade, for Revival Theatre Company; Ada and the Memory Engine for Theatre Cedar Rapids; The Rocky Horror Show, Greek, and A Man of No Importance for Cornell College; and To Touch the Moon and Into the Woods for the University of Northern Iowa. Regional credits include The Clarence Brown Theatre, Triad Stage, Lexington Children's Theatre, North Carolina Stage Company, and Aura Curiatlas Dance company in Chicago. Kristen lives in Cedar Rapids where she works with an architectural lighting agent who helps engineers and architects find the perfect lights for their building projects. After almost two years of live entertainment being shuttered, she is thrilled to be working in a beautiful theatre with some of the best talent in the country.
