Carrie Pozdol is an actor, director, and intimacy director working in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. Carrie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Simpson College in 2000 and then spent the next decade living and working in Chicago. She collaborated with Red Tape, TinFish, MidTangent, Gorilla Tango, Pyewacket, and Appetite Theatres and took additional training classes with Annoyance Theatre and Acting Studio Chicago. Since moving to Cedar Rapids, Carrie has been seen onstage with Theatre Cedar Rapids, Mirrorbox Theatre, City Circle Theatre, and the University of Iowa. Since 2020, Carrie has been training with Theatrical Intimacy Education and Intimacy Directors and Coordinators and the Association of Mental Health Coordinators. She has been working as an Intimacy Director in the area with Theatre Cedar Rapids, Riverside Theatre, Mirrorbox, City Circle, Dreamwell Theatre, Coe College, Cornell College, and the University of Northern Iowa in this capacity. Most recently, Carrie choreographed for Drive at Mirrorbox, Little Shop of Horrors at UNI, and The Book of Will at Dreamwell. Her work will be seen in Cabaret at Theatre Cedar Rapids in 2023.
