Chicago-based mezzo-sopranoHailey Cohen is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theater, and Dance receiving her Master Degree in Vocal Performance. Role highlights include K. in Joshua Brown’s chamber opera Would You Eat Me? and Sally in Pedro Finasterra's opera The Boy Who Wanted to be a Robot, both with Thompson Street Opera; Ember and Asintmah (cover) in David Shenton’s opera Future Perfect with Bellissima Opera; Hänsel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel with Vienna Summer Music Festival; Orfeo in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice; Littler Daughter in Missy Mazzoli’s Proving Up with University of Michigan Opera. Additionally, she studied the role of Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro and covered the role of Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte.
