Chicago based baritone Peter Wesoloski has been praised as possessing “a clear-ringing baritone…with emotional depth and variety of vocal color” (Chicago Classical Review). He created the role of the Constable in the world premiere of Quamino’s Map with Chicago Opera Theater, and was acclaimed for his performance of Ivan in the Chicago premiere of Death of Ivan Ilych with the Thompson Street Opera Company in partnership with Opera Orlando last year. This fall he made his debut with Florentine Opera in Milwaukee, singing the role of Count Paris (Roméo et Juliette) and in December made his role debut as Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte) with Music on Site in Wichita. Additional operatic credits include Escamillo and Morales in MI Opera’s production of Carmen; Papageno (Die Zauberflöte); Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro); Onegin (Yevgeny Onegin); Alfio (Cavalleria rusticana); and Sam (Trouble in Tahiti). Peter has also enjoyed portraying less serious "character" roles such as Benoît/Alcindoro (La bohème) and Pistola (Falstaff).
