Andy Stahl is an American film and television actor with a career spanning over four decades and more than 70 screen credits. He moved with his family to a farm near Bowling Green at age nine, a place he still owns and cherishes. A graduate of Western Kentucky University, Stahl initially pursued music and visual art before turning his creative energy toward acting in regional theatre.
He later trained in New York City with renowned coaches including Wynn Handman, William Hickey, and Jack Waltzer, and has worked steadily in film and television ever since. On screen he is known for roles in major films such as The Blind Side, The Patriot, The Client, and The Mist, as well as numerous guest appearances on television series. He also played Tom McHone in the beloved series Christy and has contributed to many other dramatic projects.
Throughout his career, Stahl has balanced his screen work with life on his Kentucky farm and creative pursuits in music and the visual arts. He resides part-time in Nashville and Vancouver when not at home in Butler County. This spring, Stahl returns to his roots with a compelling performance in Orchestra Kentucky and Ramsey Theatre Company’s production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel, A Concert.
