Michael Cárrasco is a versatile Actor/Vocalist based in New York City. He has performed with The Downtown Chamber and Opera’s “socially conscious concert” series under the late, great pianist/conductor Mimi Stern-Wolfe, The Broadway US/Canadian Tour of GREASE! as J. Casino/Teen Angel u/s (u/s Frankie Avalon.) Recently Michael had the privilege of performing one of his dream roles of Sweeney in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Major national regional theatre roles include (The Beast) Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at The Arvada Center, (Billy Bigelow) Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel at The Roxy, (El Gato) in the regional premier of Wonderland at Tuacahn Amphitheatre, (Gus) Saturday Night Fever: The Musical (Ogunquit/Gateway Playhouse), (Chad) All Shook Up, The Palace, Surflight Theatre, Merry-Go-Round/The REV, OSTC, and many more. When Michael is not performing, he is learning from great teachers and teaching great young artists.
