Baritone Daniel Narducci is a multi-faceted artist whose talents have been captured through live stage presentations, recordings, and television productions. Since his professional debut with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra under the direction of Erich Kunzel, he has appeared with many of the world’s most prestigious orchestras, including the Cleveland Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Boston Pops, Dallas Symphony, Naples Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic, Baltimore Symphony, Toronto Symphony, Houston Symphony, Detroit Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, and the Cairo Symphony. Narducci has performed regularly as a guest artist at many popular summer music venues throughout North America, including the Wolf Trap, Ravinia, Blossom, Saratoga, and Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festivals.
On the operatic stage, Narducci’s recent portrayals include Voltaire/Pangloss/Martin/Cacambo in Candide with the Northern Lights Music Festival, Marcello in La Bohème with the Indianapolis Opera, Sharpless in Madama Butterfly with the Canton Symphony, and Silvio in I Pagliacci with Opera Santa Barbara. Other notable roles include Escamillo in Carmen, Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, Mercutio in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette, and Belcore in L’elisir d’amore. He has been heard in principal roles with the New Orleans Opera, Central City Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Kentucky Opera, Nashville Opera, Opera Memphis, Fresno Opera, Hawaii Opera, and the Washington National Opera.
Narducci’s combined talents have been seen on operetta and musical theatre stages throughout North America and Europe. He made his New York City debut at Alice Tully Hall with the Collegiate Chorale under the direction of Robert Bass in An Evening of American Operetta. Narducci played the role of Lancelot during two national tours of Camelot, most notably opposite Robert Goulet’s King Arthur. He recently ascended to the role of King Arthur with the Indianapolis Opera, for which he received the “Best Actor in a Musical Award” from BroadwayWorld.com for the Indianapolis Region. He returned to perform last season with the Indianapolis Opera as Fredrik Egerman in A Little Night Music. Narducci portrayed Old Deuteronomy in the 10th anniversary production of Cats in Hamburg, Germany. Additional credits include Anthony Hope in Cleveland Opera’s production of Sweeney Todd, Jim Kenyon in Rose Marie with the Central City Opera, and Count Danilo in The Merry Widow with the Chautauqua Opera and the Cincinnati Symphony.
Daniel Narducci’s television appearances have reached audiences worldwide. His historic performance with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing was filmed for nationwide broadcast in China. Other television appearances include co-starring with Frederica von Stade and the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra in a program broadcast internationally by PBS, Pops at the Phil: A Century of Broadway, and with Judy Kaye in the BBC television documentary Kurt Weill in America: I’m a Stranger Here Myself.
An active recording artist, Daniel Narducci sang the role of Captain Hook on the world premiere recording of Leonard Bernstein’sPeter Pan. This complete version of the musical co-stars Linda Eder and is featured on Deutsche Grammophon’s Bernstein: Complete Works. Narducci’s other recordings, Timeless Broadway, Christmas Once More, and Our Broadway Romance, appear on the Archaeus Records label.
